DNR and LNR should be designated as international terrorist organizations

DNR and LNR should be designated as international terrorist organizations

Next month President of the United States Barack Obama will preside over a meeting of the United Nations Security Council. He will address the issue of “foreign fighters traveling to conflict zones and joining terrorist organizations”. The agenda itself seems to be a perfect description of the actions of the Russian military and mercenaries who now travel to eastern Ukraine to join LNR and DNR in their terrorist activities against the citizens and armed forces of Ukraine. The terrorists killed hundreds of Ukrainian civilians and servicemen, wounded thousands, shot down up to a dozen helicopters and planes including the international flight MH17 with about 300 civilian passengers on board. How much more suffering should Ukrainian people and international community encounter before LNR and DNR are designated as terrorist organizations?

Irish Republican Terrorists, Scum, Cowards, Thugs & Murderous Criminals –

North Ireland’s militant groups to revive IRA
Northern Ireland’s deputy First Minister, former IRA commander Martin McGuinness (L), and Queen Elizabeth shakes hands, in what many saw as a symbol of peace.

Three of the four main militant nationalist groups in Northern Ireland said they are merging and reclaiming the banner of the IRA in a threat to intensify a campaign of violence against the continued British presence in the province.

The Real IRA has been joined by Republican Action against Drugs - a Londonderry vigilante group - and what a statement described as “non conformist republicans” - smaller independent groups operating in Belfast and rural areas of Northern Ireland.

It is the first time since the signing of a 1998 peace deals which copper-fastened the Provisional IRA’s ceasefire that most of the disparate republican groups still intent on violence has come together under a single leadership. But the Continuity IRA, the other main dissident nationalist group opposed to the peace deal, which largely ended three decades of violence in which over 3,600 people died, is not part of the new organization. The Continuity IRA said in a separate statement on July 26 that it had a new leadership and was intent on pursuing its own campaign for a united Ireland.

International monitors confirmed in 2005 that the Irish Republican Army had given up all its weapons. But sporadic violence has increased in recent years with the Real IRA, which was behind the murder of two British soldiers in 2009, leading the way. The new group said on July 26 it had formed a “unified structure, under a single leadership” and that it would be “subservient to the constitution of the Irish Republican Army” - the banner under which opposition to British involvement in Ireland has operated for more than a century.

New group includes armed dissidents

It includes independent dissidents who have been responsible for the murder of one policeman, injury of others and a series of attacks on officers in recent years.

Nationalist sources said the new group includes several hundred armed dissidents, including some former members of the Provisional IRA disenchanted with the peace process and their political wing - Sinn Fein.

UK lawmakers urge Obama to end drone strikes in Pakistan (SW idiots)

A group of 12 UK parliamentarians has written a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to stop the drone attacks in Pakistan, DawnNews reported.

In a letter, addressed to the US and the Nato, it was argued that the Britain and the Western countries are under threat because drone attacks provide justification for future terrorist activities.

The letter also claimed that innocent people were killed in the drone strikes.

The parliamentarians said that the attacks were creating hatred for the US amongst Pakistanis and they were also harming Pakistan’s sovereignty.

George Galway, Yasmin Qureshi, John Hemming, Jeraldko Famin, Paul Flain and Simon Disnek include members of House of Commons while Lord Nazir Ahmad, Lord Hussain, Lord Steel Acowood, Lord Jad, , Lord E Escadel and Lord Eubarry are from House of Lords who have signed the letter written to the US President.

Turkish pilot foils PKK attempt to blow up helicopter

A helicopter pilot transporting Turkish soldiers to a rural area in eastern Turkey narrowly avoided falling into a booby trap set by militants when he realized the patch of ground he was about to land on had been disturbed, leading him to abort the landing.

A subsequent dig revealed that an explosive device had been buried at the location by suspected members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

The PKK had intensified its road block activities in the eastern province of Tunceli’s Ovacık district last week in a purported plan to lure troop-transporting helicopters into a trap, daily Milliyet reported on its website today.

A squadron of soldiers from the gendarmerie was dispatched to rural Ovacık to search for the PKK militants blocking roads in the vicinity. The pilot of a Sikorsky transport helicopter found a suitable location in the rugged terrain and was about to land when he realized the ground he was about to land on appeared to have been newly turned over. Suspecting a trap, the pilot aborted the mission and returned to base while a separate team was sent to inspect the location.

Soldiers searching the location found a "very powerful explosive device" buried in the ground and destroyed it.

Two PKK militants were killed and four were injured in an operation following the incident, while numerous other explosives buried in clearings in the woodlands – suitable places for helicopters to land – were found and destroyed.

The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.

'Oslo talks should be revived,' says Zana

Independent deputy Leyla Zana has outlined the contents of a much-anticipated meeting she held yesterday with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, declaring that it is “unrealistic” to end the Kurdish issue by asking Kurdish militants to lay down their arms.

The armed conflict remains an open wound, Zana said, adding that she told the prime minister that it could not be healed with demands such as calling on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to lay down arms or asking the Turkish army to stop military operations.

"I told [the prime minister] that the people who asked for an apology were not the people of a foreign state but were citizens of this country," Zana said.

She also said she told ErdoÄŸan that it was quite possible to transfer the imprisoned leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, to house arrest, but Zana did not elaborate on the details of the conversation regarding the issue.

Zana also advised the prime minister to continue the Oslo process, in which members of Turkey’s intelligence agency began dialogue with the PKK in an effort to end the conflict.

The lawmaker also said she told ErdoÄŸan that adding Kurdish as an elective course in Turkish education system was a positive step.

The rare meeting to try and resolve the decades-old conflict occurred after Zana surprised many, especially in the Kurdish movement in which she is a symbolic figure, by saying she believed ErdoÄŸan could solve the problem.

The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.

Iranian FM detained in Nicosia, report says

Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Akbar Salehi addresses to media after his meeting with Cyprus President Demetris Christofias at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, Cyprus,

Greek Cypriot authorities reportedly detained Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi briefly after he arrived at Nicosia International Airport, Anatolia news agency has reported.

Salehi, who is visiting Greek Cyprus on the invitation of his Greek Cypriot counterpart, was detained by authorities in the airport on charges of being on the European Union’s list of “unwanted persons,” Anatolia quoted Greek Cypriot media reports. The airport’s anti-terrorism office later released the minister after Greek Cyprus’ Foreign Ministry and foreign minister became involved in the issue.

Reports said the scandal caused temporary tension, but that the mistake was fixed after Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozaku Markulli demanded the release of his Iranian counterpart. Greek Cypriot media outlets noted that the Iranian minister had been blacklisted by the EU and could only enter the country after receiving special permission from the Greek Cypriot foreign minister.

The media also reported that Greek Cyprus had offered an official apology to Iran, citing a “misunderstanding” and “mishandling” of the situation by airport authorities.

Hamas member mysteriously killed in Damascus

Member of Hamas' political bureau announces killing on Facebook, refrains from blaming Israel or Syria for death of Kamel Ranaja.

A Hamas member was killed in Damascus Wednesday night, a party official announced.

According to Izzat a-Rashak, a member in the Hamas political bureau, said anonymous persons killed Kamel Ranaja (who also goes by Nizar Abu Mujhad), in what was termed as a "criminal act.”

Rashak announced the killing on Facebook, and stated that Hamas is investigating the killing in order to find out who was behind it. Rashak further stated the Ranaja was a member of Hamas for many years who served his movement and his people, adding that his blood was not spilled in vain. However, Hamas refrained from openly placing blame on Israel for the killing.

Most Hamas members have left Syria, with only several remaining in the country. Tensions have flared recently between Hamas and the Syrian regime after most of the party’s political leaders fled the country due to the ongoing violence.

Most Hamas members have moved to live in countries such as Egypt, Qatar and Gaza, among others.

TaliPak or Pakitan ? - The Plundered Are Restless

The U.S. is openly accusing the Pakistani military of collaborating with Islamic terrorists, particularly the Haqqani Network, which has long enjoyed sanctuary in North Waziristan. The U.S. publicly agrees with many Pakistanis that the Pakistani military is out-of-control and a threat to Pakistani democracy. Pakistanis who express these beliefs openly in Pakistan can get arrested or killed. The Pakistani military and the ISI (the intelligence agency it controls) see these U.S. accusations as a direct attack on the power and privileges of the military. The Pakistani generals also see the successful American use of missile armed UAVs to kill Islamic terrorists cooperating with the military, as an attack on a powerful Pakistani military capability. The Pakistani military cannot admit this openly, although the Pakistani use of Islamic terrorists to attack India is an open secret in Pakistan. Many Pakistani generals also consider it shameful for their troops to be fighting Islamic terrorists inside Pakistan. This is, however, necessary in some cases when dealing with Islamic radical groups that have declared war on the Pakistani government and military. These groups stage attacks against the military and politicians. These subsidized terror groups also stage attacks in Afghanistan, which has caused the Afghans to call for American cooperation in joint commando raids into North Waziristan to do more damage to the Haqqani Network, destroying their bases and killing or capturing senior leaders. So far, the U.S. has ruled out these raids.

June 21, 2012: The Pakistani Supreme Court has ordered the arrest of the ruling party's candidate to replace the prime minister the court recently dismissed. A military run anti-drug agency provided evidence that the candidate has been involved in a drug transaction.  The current government is unpopular because, as usual, it promised to curb corruption and inept government and did neither. The corruption continues and the government has become less effective. This is most obvious in the growing electricity blackouts. Corrupt officials have, over many decades, prevented construction of more power plants. Much necessary infrastructure has not been built or maintained because politicians were too busy stealing the money available for such projects. The current corruption crisis was made worse by revelations that major media outlets had been bribed to attack selected politicians. All this is more than just feuding among corrupt political and military leaders. There are growing demonstrations, including mobs attacking the homes of corrupt politicians. People are mad because they are exposed daily to the lack of power, clean drinking water, and roads. Popular anger is growing and the corrupt ruling families in Pakistan fear that the age of plunder and corruption may be over. At the very least, it's becoming more difficult to keep the population under control while the widespread plundering continues.

June 20, 2012: Pakistan revealed that it had recently arrested an al Qaeda (Naamen Maziche) in the southwest (Baluchistan) after he had entered from Iran.  Maziche was captured with information obtained from another al Qaeda leader, Younis al Mauritani, who was also hiding out in Iran and was arrested near the Iranian border last September. Maziche, who is in charge of planning attacks in the West, was apparently on his way to Africa. Iran has provided sanctuary for al Qaeda leaders but has not allowed them to operate from Iran.

June 19, 2012: The head of the Supreme Court removed the prime minister from his post for refusing to revive a corruption investigation against president Asif Ali Zardari. The deposed prime minister insisted that the constitution gives the president immunity from prosecution while in office. The head of the Supreme Court has been fighting corrupt politicians for some time, and has now allied with the army to take down some senior people who are both corrupt and hostile to the corrupt leadership of the military.

Pakistani troops on the Line of Control (which separates Indian and Pakistani held Kashmir) violated the ceasefire five times in the last nine days. Two Indian soldiers have been killed and four wounded in these incidents. Pakistan has long violated the ceasefire in this way, but the current ceasefire was supposed to be taken more seriously. Apparently not, and the Pakistani military has refused to discuss these violations. When pressed one Pakistani commander insisted that the Indians fired on Pakistan first.

June 17, 2012: In Quetta, Baluchistan (southwest Pakistan) a bomb was set off in a bus carrying Hazara students, killing four of them. This was seen as a Taliban attack, as the Taliban see the Hazara, who are Shia, as heretics.

June 16, 2012: In Pakistan's tribal territories (Khyber and Kohat) two bombs went off killing 26 and wounding over fifty.

June 15, 2012: The U.S. officially admitted that it had been using missile armed UAVs to attack Islamic terrorists in Pakistan and elsewhere. The Pakistani military is under tremendous pressure from the Islamic terror groups it subsidizes and protects, to halt these American attacks. The UAV operations have done tremendous damage to the leadership of these terror groups.

In eastern India (Chhattisgarh) tips from locals led to the discovery and destruction of a Maoist camp. Some of the Maoists were wounded as they tried to defend the camp. Police in the area have also been arresting people who have been smuggling weapons and ammunition to the Maoists. In response to successful police operations in an area, the Maoists will increasingly move to another location in an adjacent state. The police have noted this and now go on alert for such moves when a Maoist group in an adjacent state suffers major losses (especially the destruction of camps).

June 14, 2012:  The Pakistani Taliban in North Waziristan has ordered a halt to efforts to inoculate 162,000 children against polio and eliminate the disease forever. The Islamic terrorists believe the inoculation effort is a cover for American espionage. Such Islamic radical paranoia about Western medicine has caused thousands of deaths, most of them children, in the tribal territories in the last decade.

June 13, 2012: Despite Pakistani calls for demilitarizing the border area on the Siachen glacier, the subsequent peace talks failed. The offer had been greeted with skepticism in India. That's because the Pakistani Army has used lies and deceptions for decades in a futile effort to gain an edge over India. This has led to the current situation, where thousands of Islamic terrorists, openly supported by Pakistani troops, continue to plan and carry out attacks on India. It happens every day in places like Kashmir. But Pakistan officially denies it all. Until the denials stop and taking responsibility begins, there will be no real peace with India.  The collapse of the talks about withdrawing troops from the Siachen glacier is seen as another example of this.

An American UAV used missiles to kill four Islamic terrorists in North Waziristan.

In Pakistani tribal territories Islamic terrorists made attacks, two days in a row, unsuccessfully trying to kill the head of an anti-Taliban tribal militia. The two suicide bomb attacks killed two bodyguards and a young mother.
