Argentine Scum Rioters attack UK embassy in Buenos Aires with stones, sticks and gasoline bombs

Argentine radical groups fought several hours with riot police in Buenos Aires protecting the British embassy on the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the Falklands/Malvinas war between Argentina and the UK.

The incidents started at mid-afternoon when over one hundred members of the Quebracho extremist organization armed with sticks and stones marched on the embassy downing barriers and clashed with riot police surrounding the block where the British embassy is located in the Argentine capital.

Protestors also appealed to Molotov petrol bombs and the security forces responded with hydrant trucks, rubber bullets and tear gars.

There are no official reports of arrests or injured but witnesses said that several members of the police force were struck and fell on the impact of stones and had to retreat because of the molotovs. Unofficial reports indicate four police members have been hospitalized.

On 2 April 2012 Argentine forces landed in the Falkland Islands which they held until June 14 when they were ousted by a Task Force sent by then PM Margaret Thatcher.

At the end of hostilities over 900 combatants and three civilians were killed, with heavy material and equipment losses on both sides.

The Royal Navy lost several frigates and support vessels while the Argentine Air Force was virtually wiped out from the air in spite of its performance.

Fifteen months later the military regime behind the invasion of the Falklands collapsed and Argentina elected a democratic government, which it enjoys since then, including the violent radical groups.
