Argentina South Americas Poorest Country want War? - Malvinas is an issue 'that affects all Argentines,' says Boudou

Vice-president Amado Boudou once again stated the Government’s aim of “working with all international organizations to get back the Malvinas islands sovereignty,” as he took part in Mendoza’s annual harvest festival.

“Malvinas is a cause of all Argentines, for our heroes who lost their lives there and those who were able to return and refounded their families with much pain,” Boudou said.

“Next year will mark the 180th anniversary of the occupation and the recovery of the sovereignty is an issue of all Argentines, not of a particular political party sector. This is a cause of all Argentines and must be approached from all sides,” the Vice-president added.

Tension between Argentina and UK has mounted in the last few months, as the 30th anniversary of the South Atlantic dispute approaches. Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman lodged a complaint before the UN accusing England of militarizing the South Atlantic.
