1940                U-31 was attacked by the British submarine Trident. First the submarine fired 4 torpedoes, all of which missed U-31. When the British sub began to fire its gun, U-31 crash-dived. The Trident followed up with some explosive charges, but without sucess

1940                HMS Triton attacks the Italian merchant Spezia with torpedoes off Vado Ligure, Savona, Italy. All torpedoes missed.

1941                HMS Rorqual lays 50 mines in the Gulf of Athens.

1942                HMS Turbulent sinks the German Kreta with gunfire near Ras al Hilal, Libya.

1942                HMS Unbending sinks the Italian Lupa II with gunfire north-east of Djerba, Tunisia.

1943                HMS Unruly torpedoes and sinks the German minelayer Bulgaria but misses the minelayer Drache south off Amorgos Island, Greece.

1944                HMS Sturdy sinks a coaster with gunfire in the Gulf of Boni, Celebes, Netherlands East Indies.

1944                HMS Vivid torpedoes and sinks the German merchant Achilles and the German tugs Horst and Paul with gunfire north-west of Chios Island, Greece.

2002                HMS Trafalgar hit rocks beneath 150 ft. of water about three miles off the Isle of Skye. The smash caused extensive damage, forcing the vessel to limp back into Faslane naval base. Two crew members were hurt in the impact, one breaking his nose and the other spraining his back.
