Rn Submarines - May 19th


1928 Osiris Submarine HMS Osiris launched
1941 HMS Unbeaten HMS Unbeaten attacks the Italian merchant Silvio Scaroni off Tagiura, Libya with a spread of 4 torpedoes that miss the target.
1942 HMS Thrasher HMS Thrasher torpedoes and sinks the Italian merchant Penelope about 5 nautical miles north-west of Monopoli, Italy.
1943 HMS Sportsman HMS Sportsman torpedoes and sinks the French passenger ship Général Bonaparte off Nice, southern France.
1943 HMS Unbroken HMS Unbroken torpedoes and sinks the Italian pilot vessel F 20/Enrica 3 nautical miles off Pizzo Calabro.
1945 HMS Terrapin Survived a depth charge attack in the Pacific by Japanese surface craft
1945 HMS Scythian HMS Scythian sinks a Japanese sailing vessel with gunfire in the Strait of Malacca.
1950 HMS Sidon Completed refit at Sheerness.
