    1916 - USS L-2 (SS 41) is commissioned

    1916 - USS L-7 (SS 46) is launched

    1940 - USS Mackerel (SS 204) is launched

    1943 - USS Cisco (SS-290) is lost with the loss of 76 shipmates after being bombed by Japanese     aircraft. Lost with the boat is her skipper, "Red" Coe who wrote the famous letter about 'paper work'.

    1943 - USS Cisco (SS 290) is decommissioned

    1943 - USS Robalo (SS 273) is commissioned

    1988 - USS Bonefish (SS 582) is decommissioned

    1991 - USS Ashville (SSN 758) is commissioned
