June 24th - On This Date - RN Submarine Service

1915 Victoria Cross The King was Graciously pleased to approve of the grant of the Victoria Cross to Lieutenant Commander Martin Eric Nasmith, Royal Navy
1942 HMS Turbulent HMS Turbulent torpedoes and sinks the Italian merchant Regulus in the Gulf of Sirte about 5 nautical miles west of Ghemines.
1942 HMS Ultimatum HMS Ultimatum makes a torpedo attack on an Italian submarine south of Crete. All torpedoes fired however missed.
1944 HMS Truculent HMS Truculent lays mines in the Strait of Malacca.
1971 HMS Ambush De-equipped at Rosyth and sold to Ship Breakers at nearby Inverkeithing.
