'Argentina will only change with a president that has seen hard times'

The leader of the Labour Confederation (CGT), Hugo Moyano, expressed today the general “wish” by the umbrella union for one of their members to become president in the future. The statements come at a time where the group is distancing itself from the incumbent government led by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

“I think that she (Fernández de Kirchner) got very annoyed when I mentioned the fact that we would all very much like to see one of the men of the work movement leading the country. This continues to be our wish,” Moyano said.

“I can guarantee the fact that this country will only change when it has a president leading it that has been through hard times. Someone who hasn’t been told about crisis, but someone who has lived it," the umbrella union leader continued.

In addition, the leader mentioned the fact that his relationship with expresident Néstor Kirchner “was not excellent.”
