Argentina - Officials confirm detained neo-Nazi a Met police officer

The subsecretary for Complex Crimes and Action against Organized Crime, Miguel Ángel Robles, confirmed that one of the two men arrested in recent hours, pertaining to a neo-Nazi organization in Argentina, was a Metropolitan Police officer.

During a press conference in the Security Ministry, Roble explained that Gabriel Bohdan Sobenko formed part of Mayor Mauricio Macri’s City government.

“The moment he was arrested, he said that he was a Metropolitan Police officer, informing the City authorities. That information in turn would be passed along to be cross-checked with the police force,” Roble sustained, who forms part of the sector run by Security Minister Nilda Garré.

Twenty-one year old Gabriel Bohdan Sobenko had been a member of the Metropolitan Police since September 2009.
