1914 W3 Submarine HMS W3 laid down
1941 Splendid Submarine HMS Splendid laid down
1970 Courageous Submarine HMS Courageous launched
1916 HMS E5 HMS E5 was sunk by by the German Cruiser Strassburg in the North Sea.
1916 E24 E24 became the first British Mine laying Sub to begin operational mine laying in the mouth of the River Elbe.
1941 Porpoise While enroute to Halifax, Canada, HMS Porpoise makes an unsuccessful torpedo attack on a submarine in the North Atlantic.
1944 HMS Sceptre HMS Sceptre torpedoes and heavily damages the German merchant Lippe off the Foldafjord, Norway. The Lippe is beached but breaks up the following day.
