NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Montpelier (SSN 765) will return to Naval Station Norfolk on Feb. 17.
The submarine's crew of 15 officers and 129 enlisted is under the command of Cmdr. Thomas A. Winter. While deployed to the European Command are of responsibility on regularly scheduled deployment, the sub steamed more than 36,500 nautical miles. Among the ports visited were Haakonsvern, Norway; Faslane, Scotland; and Rota, Spain.
