Syria - Terrorist Government of Syria reports - Authorities arrest terrorists, confiscate weapons and ammo in Hama and Damascus Countryside'

HAMA/DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE– During their pursuit of armed terrorist groups on Wednesday, the authorities confiscated a large amount of weapons and ammo and arrested a number of wanted terrorists in Hama and Damascus Countryside.

In al-Hamidiye neighborhood in Hama, the authorities pursued a terrorist groups and clashed with its members, arresting a number of them and confiscating the weapons they had in their possessions.

Confiscated weapons include assault rifles, machineguns, an RPG launcher and rounds, offensive and defensive grenades, and a large amount of caltrops.

In Harasta in Damascus Countryside, the authorities uncovered hideouts and tunnels used by armed terrorist groups and confiscated weapons buried in a farm.

Confiscated weapons include five assault rifles with 13 magazines, a handgun and 4 magazines, and RPG round, 2 night-vision goggles, 4 pouches, five remote-detonation devices, and gas canisters prepared for use to make bombs.

With the assistance of the locals in the Damascus Ghouta area, the authorities managed to arrest a number of fugitive terrorists, some of which had been disguised as women.
