'CFK should acknowledge farmers' problems on site, not from helicopter,' Buzzi replies

The head of the Argentine Agrarian Federation (FAA) Eduardo Buzzi replied to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s earlier speech in which she urged farming producers to “stop asking for money,” and assured that they are always asked to pay their dues, but that “the Government is absent” whenever there’s a drought problem.
Earlier, Fernández de Kirchner had said that farming producers “should get drought insurance instead of just praying for rain,” and said that they shouldn’t ask for Government money.
“The drought came to intensify many of the problems affecting the farming sector and further complicate the loss of competitiveness among small and medium producers,” Buzzi said in a written statement.
“The President has a strong financial situation,” he said, and urged her to “put herself in the shoes of the producer whose 50 hectares cornfield has dried up.”
“Her vision is a result of looking at the country from a helicopter instead of crossing through it in a car,” he accused.
