Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast assured Tuesday that targeting the "Israeli" embassies in India and Georgia was a Zionist scenario that aimed at distorting Iran's image.
According to Mehr news agency, Mehmanparast rejected the Zionist entity's claims that Iran was involved in the bomb attacks that took place Monday in New Delhi and Tbilisi, and warned the entity and its supporters of "such terrorist scenarios and practices".
"They should realize that any unmeasured and irrational step will lead to a decisive response," he pointed out.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman further said that "the Zionist entity is the origin of terror in the world, and sees that the continuity of its illegitimate life depends on terror and dangerous adventures."
Moreover, Mehmanparast clarified that "from our perspective, the Zionist entity and its protectors, are the main suspects in the terror attacks; and accusing the Islamic Republic of Iran of being involved in the latest events has no basis, and it seems that these suspicious acts were planned by Zionist officials in order to distort the image of the Islamic Republic."
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is the greatest victim of terror, and it had constantly condemned terrorist attacks. The Zionist entity's latest sedition is rather an effort to divert the public opinion away from this entity's terrorist practices in the occupied territories and in assassinating Iranian scholars," he stressed.
Mehmanparast also condemned some Western states' support to Zionist practices, considering that this reinforces terror in the world.
On another hand, Iranian Deputy Chairman of the Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, Ismail Kowsari, said that "Israel" has staged attacks targeting its own embassies in India and Georgia to stir up sympathy from other countries.
On Monday, an "Israeli" diplomat in New Delhi was injured when an embassy car exploded. The envoy made it to the "Israeli" embassy, from where she was transferred to a nearby hospital. The "Israeli" ambassador to India was not hurt in the New Delhi attack.
In the second attack, a Georgian national working for the "Israeli" embassy in Tbilisi discovered a bomb underneath his car while driving to the embassy. The bomb was defused before it exploded.
"Israel" promptly accused Iran and Hizbullah of orchestrating both attacks.
Kawsari reiterated that the past record of the "Israeli" regime clearly demonstrates that its elements have previously carried out such operations to gain popularity and evoke sympathy from other nations."
He assured that "Israelis" stage such attacks against themselves in an attempt to accuse other countries, particularly Iran, and score political gains for their ominous objectives.
'"Israel", which has been behind the assassination of our nation's scientists, has pointed the finger of blame towards Iran to vindicate itself and to deflect international public opinion," the Iranian lawmaker explained.
Tehran has repeatedly held agents of the "Israeli" regime, the US and Britain responsible for assassination attempts against the country's nuclear scientists which have so far claimed four lives since early 2010.
On the same note, a senior Iranian lawmaker said that the "Israeli" regime has carried out the recent attacks against the staff of its embassies in India and Georgia in an attempt to spearhead a psychological war against Iran.
Javad Jahangirzadeh, a member of Iran's Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, said that "Over the past years, "Israelis" have vigorously sought to antagonize the global community and spark a wave of intimidation against Iran, and following the failure of such schemes, they have resorted to a blame game against the Islamic Republic, even at the expense of harming themselves."
