Three Russian Navy vessels, including an anti-submarine ship, arrived in Manila on Tuesday for a four-day goodwill visit.
The Russian ships - anti-submarine Admiral Pantelley, large sea tanker Boris Butoma, and rescue tug Fotiv Krylov will stay at the South Harbor of Manila until Friday.
The Russian Navy's most ranking officer, Captain 1 Rank Nikolay Saprikin, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Navy officials and to the Manila Police District Tuesday afternoon.
"The visit hopes to strengthen existing friendly relations between the two navies through a series of scheduled events aimed at enhancing understanding and cooperation.
